How to marinate meat

Use this classic Cantonese marinade for perfectly tender meat, every time

In our first  how-to video, Amy demonstrated how to slice meat against the grain to increase its tenderness. In our second video of the series, we take tenderness to the next level by sharing a classic Cantonese-style marinade. We use this same handful of ingredients in loads of our recipes because it works every single time! For more specific quantities for different dishes, check out recipes such as our classic potsticker dumplings, beef and broccoli stir fry, and chicken wontons.

Just discovered your website. I simply love it!
Unfortunately although I am half Chinese and born in London I now live in Spain and it is very hard to find all the sauces and ingredients. Bilbao is very limited.

    • Hi Jacqui! Thanks for your feedback! Sorry to hear that you are finding it hard to get sauces and ingredients – is it possible for you to purchase items online? I know that shipping can be a bit pricey sometimes, but with many Chinese sauces etc., buying a jar/bottle should keep you going for a good amount of time 🙂
